Layout

The Main salon/galley area includes a full galley with plenty of counter space, full-size Jennair stove with convection ovens, (2) refrigerator/freezers, microwave, and a trash compactor. The Karadon counters (over 50 sq. ft.) have a bar above and a double sink.  A walk-in food locker is located behind the refrigerators. Flooring will be a combination of hardwoods and sculptured carpets.  Window coverings will be surrounded by beautiful vertical and horizontal valances, which conceal the indirect lighting throughout.  Pleated Day/ Night mini blinds will be used on the insulated solar bronze, slide open windows which are equipped with screens.  There is also an adjoining abundant lounge with seating for TV viewing or relaxing to the sophisticated stereo system.  A separate full bath is located here aft, near the entry 6' sliding door.
.
The catamaran features an enclosed Pilot house in which the steering station and lounging area are located.  The fully equipped station includes Auto pilot, power hydraulic steering with rudder alignment done while underway at the helm.  A "Moving Map" GPS compliments the radar while the depth sounder reads speed, temp and log of distance traveled.  By comparing the speed received from the GPS to the boat speed, you will have ocean of river currents speed and direction.  The radios include a ham radio, VHF w/hand held, EPIRB with identification of owner and vessel sent to satellite as well as SOS.

The Master stateroom is full width and features a full 180 degree forward view allowing great visibility and full light. The spacious suite contains a walk-around king bed and down the steps on one side is an enclosed head, vanity and hanging locker and on the other side a shower and vanity with plenty of storage on both.  A combination washer and dryer is included.  Air-conditioning is included.

The large Aft deck which sports a built-in wet bar and a separate cleaning station for the fisherman aboard, 12 kw Diesel generator set, dive compressor, plenty of lounging space and the entry to the engine room. A Zodiac 13' with a 50 hp, center console, antenna arch, with VHF, sounder, dive tank rack, built in cooler, pole holders, navigation lights.

Abundant amenities are aboard including air conditioning and well designed sea anchoring system, (parachute) Aluminum Fortress and Claw type anchors and other safety features designed based on the ocean cruising experience of Pedigree Cats, Inc.

Yanmar also has a stern drive in a 4 cylinder 190 to 230 hp that is being considered.  Able to carry 1,000 gallons of diesel, giving her a top speed of about 23 knots and 1,000 mile plus range at 15 knot cruising speed.  The lightweight, foam core constructed catamaran will be fitted with mini-keels for beaching and  bottom protection.  She has a draft of only 32 inches including 6 inch mini-keels, when fully loaded.

Construction materials will be Airex foam core in the hulls and under wing, covered with E-Glass, a biaxial fabric and Vinylester resin.  Kevlar and Carbon Fiber will be used where necessary in high stressed areas as well as uni-directional fabrics. A cross linked foam will be used on the top surfaces and will provide further insulation.  All the windows will be safety plate, solar reflective, opening, and screened.  The pilot house and master suite will have overhead opening hatches for further air circulation when the air-conditioning is turned off.

Bottom coating will be protection anti fouling coat and allows many haul-outs to be passed up.  This coating further provides water proofing by its application of an epoxy matrix of pure copper which requires very little upkeep.  Usually only requires a light brushing to remove slime or algae "grass" depending on water temperature. You may see this coating under the construction photos of the Shuttleworth 52' AeroRig.

The owner has complete control on the purchases of the equipment, electronics and machinery as well as all the galley appliances and interior furnishings.  Our ability to pass on OEM pricing to our clients, allows for considerable savings of $8,000 to $10,000 on the engines alone over retail.

There will be construction photos on our site as we progress and when we are far along enough for clients to board, they will be welcome to experience first hand the room a cat has to offer.
